How it works

Today’s technology provided by smartphones helps us to mitigate this risk of making others aware of our personal position and showing the position of others on our smartphone too.

After the installation of the FlyGuide App you decide when and how long you want to transmit your current position to our server. We receive the data from the GPS receiver in your smartphone. The position data is only stored temporarily (for about 5 minutes). Afterwards all data will be deleted completely. A further analysis or transfer of the data to external partners does not take place. As soon as we have your position we can share you information about all other flight transits in your area. We receive this data for this from our other users, but also via ADSB and FLARM from external partners such as OpenSky or GliderNet.
